Scott Adrian Peterson, 50, of Anaheim, was accused of having sex with a 17 year old student, Jane Doe. Peterson was a high school teacher who pled guilty in August 2012 to two felony counts of unlawful sexual intercourse, four felony counts of oral copulation of a minor, and two felony counts of sexual penetration by a foreign object of a minor.
He was sentenced to four years in prison and ordered to serve 16 months in jail and the remaining three years under mandatory supervision.
Peterson met Doe in Spanish class. He would spend time with the student outside of school at social events such as Disneyland. He then started sending obscene photos and texts to the teen.
As Peterson met with Doe on a regular basis in motels, Doe’s family became suspicious and found sexual text messages on her phone, and they notified police.
Peterson was immediately taken into custody after police watched him walk out of a motel room with the 17 year old.
He is now convicted of the said sex crimes and sentenced to four years.
