Albert N. Abrams, 64, head of Los Angeles Neighborhood Commission, entered his plea to a felony count of distributing child pornography he received over the Internet.

Abrams resigned immediately after FBI agents found massive kiddie porn stashed in his home.

In a plea agreement, Abrams pled guilty, acknowledging that he collected more than 600 images of child pornography over more than ten years, which contained images of children under 12, including infants, “engaging in sexually explicit conduct,” and portraying “sadistic or masochistic” activity.

When his house was searched in 2011 under a valid search warrant, Abrams told a TV station that a now excised growth on his spine left him with a split personality causing him to do things out of his character.

Abrams was charged last February in an eight-count indictment that accused him of distributing, receiving, and possessing child pornography. He did not speak at the hearing other than to respond that he understood the judge's statements.

In exchange for the guilty plea, prosecutors recommend Abrams receive a sentence of between five and eight years in prison, lifetime supervised release and a fine of $5,000.

Sentencing will take place on December 10th, and Abrams remains free until then.
