Rapist Suspected of Being Serial Predator

  • Published: June 19, 2012

Police today arrested a man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman in an area of South Los Angeles where a possible serial rapist had already struck at least three times since Friday morning, authorities said.

On June 18, 2012 an officer spotted a woman on a bus bench, unconscious and injured, and another person fleeing away.

The woman’s head and face were bloodied from head trauma, her shirt was pulled up and her pants were pulled down, showing clear signs of sexual assault which had already occurred or may have been aborted due to officer’s arrival.

A perimeter was quickly set up in the area and a police dog located the suspect about an hour later.

There were three previous sexual assaults in the area and police are going to investigate and see if the suspect is connected to those as well.

The police will continue the investigation.
